National Exchange Of India Chairman, Mr. Ashok Chawla resigned from his post with immediate effect citing legal developments on Friday. Central Government has allowed CBI to prosecute him in Aircel-Maxis case. Ashok Chawla took charge as chairman of NSE in May 2016.

Mumbai, January 11, 2019: Mr. Ashok Chawla has resigned as Public Interest Director/Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSE) with immediate effect in light of recent legal developments.
